Festival Wrap-Up {Nov 1/04}
RtO has completed its screenings for 2004 and I would like to thank everyone who came out to support the festival. I would also like to thank all of the people who took the time out of their busy schedules to help make the festival a success behind the scenes. Be sure to check back periodically for some small events which should take place in the next year, before RtO 2005 hits the screens. Short Attention Span Audience Choice {Nov 1/04}
I would like to thank all of the filmmakers who submitted their films for the SHORT ATTENTION SPAN. We had a good audience turn out and viewers were asked to vote for their favorite short film. Here are the best of the shorts, as chosen by our audience.

Short Attention Span Line-Up Announced {Oct 25/04}

RtO at the CBC. {Oct 19/04}
We will be at the downtown CBC studios on October 26th for a one hour interactive interview. We will be there from noon to 1pm showing clips from the films and speaking about the festival. There will be an audience so everyone is invited to come down to support the festival. The CBC studio is located on the corner of 100st and 102nd Avenue in Edmonton's City Centre Mall.
Festival Passes on Sale. {Oct 19/04}
You can now buy festival passes at Oddity Cinema located downstairs at 10815 82nd Avenue. They go for $69 and will get you into every movie at the festival. Buying a pass will save you forty bucks off the regular price of admission. All passholders must arrive at least 30 minutes in advance of each film to guarantee seating.
Festival Trailer. {Oct 12/04}
Put this together for the media folks. It's only about a minute long but it'll give you a good feel for the festival. The music is by Infernus and the speech is stolen from the H. G. Lewis film "Scum of the Earth".

The RETURN TO ODD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL has arrived to expose Edmonton audiences to an array of classic and modern cinema picks from around the world. The main focus of the festival is to introduce the city to the international horror and cult film scene by immersing viewers with an eclectic collection of films that will entice and terrify. For those who are curious or those who have been waiting their entire lives, this will be a rare opportunity to experience 35mm prints of these films on the big screen.
The festival will take place at the Metro Cinema from October 26th until the 31st, having two screenings a night, plus midnight screenings on Friday the 29th and Saturday the 30th. The festival will also include a segment dedicated to local and Canadian short films to showcase the talent that lies in our country’s independent film scene.
Call for short film submissions. {Sep 29/04}
We are currently looking for Canadian short films to screen during our Short Attention Span section, which will take place on October 31st at 5:00 pm. Films should be no longer than 30 minutes and submitted on a VHS or DVD. Please don't send originals as they will not be returned.
