If this film doesn’t win you over in the opening five minutes, you are obviously at the wrong festival. The first shot has a dog crashing through a glass table. A woman asleep in her bed with her husband is awoken by the noise. She grabs a baseball bat and slowly creeps down the hallway toward what can only be a little girl EATING HER DOG. Sweet molasses! This is gonna be the best movie ever!

Now we meet Yasu (Hirohito Honda from BATTLE ROYALE), who has a pretty hard life. He is bound to a wheelchair and his dad and brother think he’s a lunatic. It also doesn’t help that his sister treats him like a baby. And what ever happened to his mother. If that isn’t bad enough, the family living next-door was just murdered. The only surviving relatives show up on Yasu’s doorstep and decide to move in. If you feel bad for Yasu already, you probably won’t want to hear about how the new houseguest start to show him the true meaning of suffering. With a tagline of “A Japanese Chainsaw Massacre,” I’m sure you people know what to expect. Just don’t expect any chainsaws.
